UT - wide screen WTB no black!
Hey guys (long time!)
I've been trying to google the information but I've come up with a fat load of nothing so I'm hoping that you guys can help.
When I make a video for youtube, they always have the black vertical lines on either side and Ive no idea how to prevent it from happening. Does anyone know how the duce to do it? I don't know if it's in the renderring or when I create the video itself... any help is appreciated!
Re: UT - wide screen WTB no black!
Make sure you project settings are the same res as your video.
For example, If my video is 1280x720 and my render out project settings are different, it will have black bars because the ratio is wrong. I record my camtasia vids at a higher res, but when i put them in vegas i add an video event pan/crop and set it to 16:9 widescreen. Then when i select file>render out, my setting are set to 1280 x 720 because this is 16:9 ratio and will fit.
Aye!!
Re: UT - wide screen WTB no black!
You can also go to event pan/crop and look for 'Source' there should be something called 'Maintain aspect ratio', It should be on Yes, switch it to No. What will happen is that footage will be strechted out to fit your rendering preferences.
